Powered by a 110 hp Lycoming 0-235-L2C engine, the Cessna 152 is unarguably one of the greatest training aircraft ever, with over 6500 examples produced. As the 2 seat mainstay of the Doncaster Sheffield Flight Training Fleet, the Cessna 152 provides safe, predictable handling in a robust, cost-effective package.
Piper Warrior II (PA28-161)
Superseding the older Piper Cherokee models, the Warrior is powered by a 160 hp Lycoming 0-320-D3G engine with the more modern “tapered wing” design. As a 4 seat aircraft the Warrior II is a fantastic touring or training aircraft, particularly suited to those students who are too tall or too heavy to fly the Cessna 152. Again, the Warrior provides safe, predictable handling and is of very robust construction, making it a fantastic aircraft to learn to fly in. Due to its more powerful engine, the Warrior also provides a significant performance advantage over the Cessna 152.
