Our commitment to you: Doncaster Sheffield Flight Training is dedicated to providing suitable aircraft and dedicated, expert instructors for your flying lesson whilst also delivering excellent value for money.
Your commitment to us: You must take your experience within 6 months of purchasing the voucher. The expiry date is clearly stated on the voucher. Advance booking is required. We normally require 2 weeks notice, but this can increase during peak times. If you later wish to cancel your booking, you will be in breach of contract; therefore, Doncaster Sheffield Flight Training is entitled to retain any monies paid. By calling our booking line on 01302 623232 up to 7 days prior to your lesson, it may be possible to move your lesson to another date free of charge. Any later changes are subject to a £30.00 administration fee.
Refunds: Doncaster Sheffield Flight Training is happy to offer a refund within 14 days of purchase. After 14 days, no refund will be available, although it will be possible to transfer the voucher to a different participant free of charge.
Adverse weather conditions and mechanical breakdown: Sometimes due to reasons beyond our control, we may have to cancels due to safety and/or legal reasons. If this should happen, you will have the opportunity to re-book your experience for another date free of charge. We will contact you on the telephone number that you provided at the time of booking to inform you in the event of any cancellations. However, this may not be done for 09:00 lessons, as the office does not open until this time. Doncaster Sheffield Flight Training cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred in the way of travel and/or accommodation.
Height/weight restrictions: Strict height and weight limits apply for safety reasons. For lessons in the 2 seat aircraft, you must not exceed 15 stones (95kg) in weight or 6’2” (1.87m) in height. For lessons in the 4 seat aircraft, you (and your passengers) must not exceed a combined weight limit of 42 stones (266kg), or 20 stones (127kg) for one single person, nor exceed 6’8” (2.03m) in height.
On the day: We strongly advise that you telephone us before leaving for your experience to check that the weather conditions are forecast to be suitable, although it is possible for forecasts to change dramatically throughout the day. Please leave plenty of time for your journey to the airport, and arrive 10 minutes before your lesson is due to start. Doncaster Sheffield Flight Training reserves the right to cancel any lesson of any person who arrives late for their booking, and no refunds shall be available. Once you arrive at the Flight Training, you will be asked to complete a Trial Lesson Authorisation Form which asks you (and your passengers, if applicable) if you are fit and able to participate in the lesson. You must also produce your voucher which entitles you to the lesson.
Spectators: Spectators are welcome to attend but young children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No dogs are permitted airside or inside any buildings (except guide dogs).
Clothing: Please wear sensible flat-soled footwear. High heels are not permitted due to the damage they cause to aircraft. Sensible clothing should be worn. In-cockpit temperatures vary with the outside air temperature, so can be hot or cold depending on the time of year. Participants are expected to exercise their own judgement in this regard.
Car parking: All car parking is free at our Hangar 3 base.
Lost vouchers: Doncaster Sheffield Flight Training can supply a replacement if you lose your gift voucher. An administration fee of £10.00 applies.
Extensions: You may extend the validity of your voucher for a further 6 months for a fee of £30.00, but you must arrange this within the original 6 month validity period. We cannot extend a voucher that has expired.
